This week has been super great, so I hope you all enjoy the email π€£
Monday: P day was super fun!! We went to the castle in Alicante and partied it up w/ everyone π€£ We also got the sad new that Elder Palmer would be in the hospital until thursday.
Tuesday: I went over in the morning to stay w/ Elder Palmer in the hospital and we did a puzzle for about 6.5 hours which was fun and made the time pass by fast π€£ Not much else besides studying the scriptures and words of living prophets and messaging people, but it was a great day!!
Wednesday: I went w/ Elder Aragon for the day while Elder Malachowski stayed w/ Elder Palmer, and it was a super good day!! We were able to meet up w/ a friend, and set a date for her baptism!! I'm super excited for her. It was so amazing to see how willing she is to follow God's commandments, even the ones that are hard for her, which I think is a very good lesson for all of us to learn. We then got to eat w/ some members from Urugay, which is always the best π€£ And then we went and helped the amiga move furniture into her piso which was a nice workout π€£ After that we went to a young mens activity where they had a fifa tournament and that was super fun, I always love hanging out w/ the youth. Then we picked up some McDonald's and headed over to the hospital for me to spend the night.
Thursday: Pretty normal day in the hospital π€£ We did all the missionary work we could and studied the rest of the time. I watched the Joseph Smith movie and it really touched me to see how much opposition was in his life, and yet he still pressed forward in his faith, knowing that it was the work of God being done, and not the work of man. We also got news that we would be staying another night in the hospital. π€£
Friday: We woke up and kind of just waited to leave the hospital π€£ We finally got out at around 4 and then headed home and messaged people the rest of the night.
Saturday: Pretty fun day, it felt so good to be back in Elda after over a week. We cut out some hearts to heart attack our old amigo Francisco which was pretty fun!! We also got to eat w/ Carlos Santacruz, and he gave us some ColaCao and some colombian bread w/ cheese in the middle which was delicious, I love colombians π€£ His family is going through a rough time, so if you could please pray for the Santacruz family, and Elda in general, it would be greatly greatly appreciated π
Sunday: Best day of the week as always. We had church which was so amazing. Partaking of the sacrament is the best time of every week, I feel full of the Spirit. Jhon was able to come w/ Angel and they are such cracks. After church we went over to a member's house who lives in Germany but has a piso en petrer, and it was so amazing. It was her husband's birthday, who is German, and so she made us all Paella and tortilla de patata and chicken nuggets and salad and there were a bunch of drinks and desert, it was wonderful π€£
Hoy: Today's turning out to be a pretty lit day π€£ I wanted to share w/ you all some of the thoughts I had while making a puzzle w/ Elder Palmer. It brought me back to a conversation I had over email a few weeks ago w/ a really good friend of mine. We were talking about revelation, and how it is like a puzzle. I began to think on it more while making it, and the whole gospel is kind of like a puzzle. The first thing we do when building a puzzle is we find the edge pieces and put them together. In the gospel, we have to start with the most basic and simple parts, such as faith, to be able to build upon it later on. A puzzle might look like a daunting task, especially if it has many pieces and is very complex, but as we focus on the small and simple things (or in this case the every day efforts) such as where would a green piece go, or where would a sky piece go, piece by piece the pieces will connect and we will begin to see the bigger picture. So, I invite each and every one of you to build that frame of the puzzle in your life. Develop your faith in Jesus Christ, and then watch to see how the pieces start to fit more easily. I love you all and I hope you all have the best day and week ever ❤️
Os quiero π❤️
