Buenos días a todooooos!!!! Cómo estáis?! I hope that you are all doing so amazing!! 😁🫶❤️
Tuesday: Pretty lit day. We helped Jadhirt destroy and rebuild his piso which is always super fun 🤣 We got a cola cao with our friend patricia and taught her about the Book of Mormon which was so wonderful. It makes me so happy to give people this knowledge of how to find true love and peace, for eternity.
Wednesday: We ate w/ Diego and his family which is always so fun, they are such a great family. We taught our amigo Francisco about almost everything 🤣 He has the desire to get baptized but is facing a lot of opposition, so please pray for him 🙏
Thursday: We ate w/ Xiomara who is the best, I love her so much. She made us some fire spaghetti, and her son Hugo was there who is agnostic and we talked to him about Jesus Christ and prayer and how we can know the truth and he said (and promised) that he would come to church w/ Xiomara on sunday. We played a game of dominos w/ them and then headed over to teach Santi in Villena. When we got off the train i. Villena, we were walking through the park and we hear someone say "¡Élderes!" A menos activa member named Genesis recognized us and we talked to her and her whole family are members and want to come to church, which was such a cool experience. We taught Santi about baptism, and he has the desire to be baptized as well, but is facing a lot of opposition as well, so please pray for him. After our lesson we had to wait for the next train back to Elda, and we were right by a castle, so we did our spanish study there and then took the train back home. We headed over to Josefina's house and helped her with problems that she had w/ her computer, and then we headed home.
Friday: One of the best days of all time 🤣 We had DC and I got to meet the new people in my zone and Hermana Ashton who was in my first zone is in my zone again which is pretty lit. Elder Malachowski is here too, he is from England and he is such a funny guy. He is comps w/ Elder Aragon who is super fun too. Carlos invited us over to have la Bandeja Paísa, and it was so good. I love Colombia so much 🤣❤️ Then we went over to Aspe to teach our amigos Jhon y Jacqueline in Angel's house, and it was so amazing. Angel has been a member for a little over a year and he has such a strong testimony. He's a máquina. We taught them the plan of salvation, and they have the desire to be baptized as well, so please pray for them as well.
Saturday: We went over to Villena to teach our amigo David, but he sadly didn't show up and our messages haven't gone through since. After that it was a pretty normal day. We heart attacked Diego's family's door which they really appreciated.
Sunday: Sunday was wonderful. We had ward conference, and since we are in a group that pertains to Elche, we got to go to Elche for church, and it was so amazing. We showed Jhon and Jacqueline the baptismal font and talked to them with a super cool member who his wife was super opposed to him getting baptized, and he had a new house and car with her, and she made him choose between her or baptism, but he still chose to get baptized. I would ask you guys again to please pray for Jhon and Jacqueline that they may be able to get baptized the 19th of March. They have some obstacles but we think that everything will go well. The iglesia in Elche is super cool because it is basically hidden in a palm tree forest, so it was super cool to be there.
Mosiah 2: 17, King Benjamin is teaching his people before he passes away, and he says, "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
The 2 greatest commandments are:
1. Love God
2. Love others as like unto yourself
The 2 great commandments work together, but we have to be careful to not put the 2nd greatest commandment over the first. We have to fear God more than we fear men. In other words, we have to put God first. Try to do His will, and please Him, instead of trying to please others.
The first and greatest commandment is that we are to love God. The first truth is that God loves us. He loves us and all of His children. If we are to become like Him, we are to do the same. So, I invite each and every one of you to think of how you show your love to God, and look for more ways to love God, to love your neighbor, and to love yourself.
I love you all, and above all, God loves you.
In the name of Jesus Christ, amén.
