¡¿Sevilla + Elder Soares?!

Hola a todooooos!!

This week has been an AMAZING one

Tuesday we had zone conference in Sevilla, and that was for sure the highlight of the week. I love President and Hermana Obando so much, it is always such an amazing opportunity to get to talk with them and receive direction.

Wednesday we had lunch with Obpiso and his wife Pili, and she always makes the best food. She made corn on the cob and green been soup and Obpiso made cornbread, and it was so good. Pili also made tarta de abuela and it was so good 😂 We had a lesson with Felipe, who has a baptism date, and he is still following his plan to quit tobacco!!! There are still some things that we have to work on, but I know that as he trusts in his Savior and turns to Him, his life will be changed.

Thursday we had lunch with Pablo and Sandra, and they always make amazing food as well, everyone does,😂 but Elder Chivers found something from his personal studies that he was able to share about how being an example to your family isnt enough, you have to share your testimony, and I thought that that was so amazing and it has motivated me to share my testimony more often and with more power. We also had a noche de hogar and it was wonderful. Obispo talked about Moroni and how he had nobody around him, but he had the Book of Mormon, and if we have the Book of Mormon we are never alone. God is always there. As we read and study and apply its principals, the Book of Mormon will bring us closer to God more than any book on this earth. I promise each and everyone of you that, and I testfiy that doing such will change your life.

Friday was wonderful. We had district council, which is wonderful as always. We also had a lesson with Eyi and Fran, and after the past 3 times they have invited us over, and then not been home when we went to their house, it was a miracle that they were there and we were able to have a lesson AND eat arepas 😂 I remember my first time going over there was my first week of the mission, and i understood almost NOTHING of what Fran said. He is from Chiclana and if you know the accent from there you know its kinda wild 😂 I thought the slang i learned from Spanish Dictionary would never be useful, but I actually understood like 90% of what Fran said, and it was such a testament of the gift of tongues. I know that the Lord is pushing forward His work, and He is with those who serve Him.

Saturday we had a super lit blitz (basically where your district or zone goes to one area and goes and contacts everyone), so that we could get more friends for the Puerto de Santa María companionships, and it was super good and super cool to see more of Puerto. We also had lunch with Eneida, who is half mexican and half indian, and I'll just say she fed us well 😂

Sunday was so amazing. Elder Soares of the 12 and his wife, along with other members of the 70 and their wives, spoke in Barcelona and it was broadcasted to all of Spain, and it was an amazing opportunity to hear from all of them. It made me so motivated to get out and do the Lord's work and help to build up Spain. We had a lesson with Jesús about the plan of salvation and it went super well. He accepts it all and has been reading the Book of Mormon daily! The gospel is simple, and all of us can understand it!

I would invite you all to develop Christlike attributes. Try to develop and study about one this week, or month, or year, or however long you want, and I promise you all that you will see the blessings that come into your life from it. Pray to Heavenly Father to know which attribute(s) you should focus on, and i can promise you all that He will lead and guide you to become more like Him.
