Sending Christmas Gifts To Elder Powell

We received the email below from the Mission President and his wife. If you want to send Sam a letter, gift, or something for Christmas, please read carefully. They are recommending cash on his card or Amazon Spain delivery only for Christmas gifts.

All deliveries to the mission office need to arrive there by December 9th for Sam to receive them in time for Christmas.

For those of you wanting to give him cash, he has a debit card with him that's attached to his bank account that is set up for him to use while there. I can deposit the cash in his account for him and then if you want to email him at spowell@missionary.org or send him a letter/card to the mission address below letting him know, he can purchase whatever he wants/needs in Spain. You can also Venmo me @michellepursel (last four of phone number 2027) and I can transfer it into his account.

The address to the mission office for Amazon Spain delivery is:

Elder Samuel Powell
Spain Madrid Mision Sur
Calle del Templo 2
Madrid  28030
Spain

Telephone: 34647323723

When you use Amazon Spain from a desktop, not a mobile, you can change the language at the top to English, and make sure you change the delivery country to Madrid. If you type in postal code 28030, it will automatically change to Madrid:

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions michellepursel@outlook.com or you can email Sam directly at spowell@missionary.org.

Email from the Mission Office:

Christmas is rapidly approaching. Most of you are thinking about how to make Christmas special for your missionary. Spain has made sending packages very difficult and expensive to receive. Unfortunately there is no guarantee the package will ever be delivered to the office once it is listed as “delivered” to Spain.

We encourage you to use amazon.es to have something sent to the Mission Office or put money in their account to use at the wonderful stores here in Spain. Amazon.es might not have the options you are used to seeing, but there has never been an issue with their delivery.

We have not had any problems receiving letters and cards sent to the Mission Office, which normally arrive quickly.

All of the missionaries will be at the Mission Office for a Christmas Conference on Dec 9 and can pick up packages then. If the packages are not here by then, it will be near impossible to deliver them to your missionary before Christmas.

We really have the best missionaries! We love them so much and are grateful they are here! We hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Con mucho amor,

Presidente y Hermana Obando
